Christmas Message

 Pre-Christmas Message to Facebook Friends & and friends of friends (U.S edition) : 

#1 Pre-pre- Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays (or Happy ‘secular’ days(?! If either term bothers you? 😉)

I remember a story of World War soldiers from different sides having a peaceful meal together in a civilian home. 

If soldiers from WW II could do that, surely we who live in a peaceful age can. 

I agree that humans are equal but ideas are not. But ideology nor religion doesn’t have to be the sole factor determines our identity.

So whether they believe in Flat Earth or Round Earth, a singularity-caused one universe or Multiverse, Climate Change or not; pro-life or pro-choice, Team Trump or Team Biden, etc..... diversity is a given fact, a self-evident revelation in this planet. It’s not only allowed but the whole universe shows that we have no choice but embrace it. Actually, our ecosystem shows we will be in trouble if we keep losing the diversity. 

So, if the physical beings are so diverse, how are we to expect the most complicated intelligent beings to have no diversity in ideas? 

Don’t expect people to think alike. When that happens? You lose democratic society, you get a unified consensus under brainwashed totalitarian nation. 

It’s only natural people have different ideas. That’s how we grow and expand our little zone of comfort. That was the America your founders believed in. Tolerance represent what its definition means when it can tolerate the intolerance as well. Otherwise, we are all going down to tribalism, which is the oldestq form of selfish society.   

Ya’ll were able to enjoy a thanksgiving turkey( sorry if you’re vegetarian), a Christmas cake (sorry if you’re diabetic 😞), long before you could vote. So, why don’t we celebrate the mutual interests this time of year? Same regional sport team, favorite menu your parents cook, a favorite family memories?

Christian friends, we should remember what is the true Biblical teaching of love. We can learn to separate people from their ideas and still love the people. You can judge the idea and debate, but still are told to love them.

If Jesus indeed came to earth to give supernatural salvation for humankinds, that salvation includes the people who disagree with you. 

If it is by grace you can believe the unbelievable things, you can also choose to understand it IS hard-to-believe because the dimension you believe where miracles happen doesn’t exist to them. 

And if free-will indeed exists- not Free Willy, that is because that’s the only way people can choose freely to love and accept the choice given. In the meantime, just try our best not to become a reason why people can’t believe - if you look into the surveys, many people think Christianity isn’t true because of how Christians behave. 

P.S: 

What’s cool about the United States, is its abbreviated form can be “the US”.

I am not U.S citizen so I can’t make a cool slogan like “Let us be US”, but you can! 

(Koreans can use ROK. But it only reminds me of The Rock) 

Don’t be DS- Divided States of America. DS just rhyme with BS, and it’s not even BTS. 

It doesn’t have a good ring to it at all.
